Abstract
Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China in the field of jewelry trade has long-standing traditions and is conditioned by geographical, historical, and socio-political factors. The Chinese jewelry market is one of the most promising and attractive, since China is the undisputed leader in the consumption of precious metal products in the world. Currently, Russian jewelry companies are actively importing Chinese-made jewelry, while very few export their own products to China. In the face of sanctions from Western European countries and the general trend of reorientation to Asian markets, entering the Chinese market can give a good impetus to the development of the jewelry industry of the Russian Federation. The paper examines the features that need to be taken into account by Russian jewelry companies planning to develop exports to China and analyzes possible risks and ways to overcome them.
