Abstract
This paper clarifies the concept of personal computing devices, which establishes boundaries and describes the structure of a given lexical-semantic field. The material of this study is lexemes beyond the pure professional discourse. Anglicisms had a great influence on nominations in the computer field. And the positive adaptations of loanwords were observed in Russian: word-formative derivation, calquing, game paronymic attraction, metaphorical comprehension. Semantic derivation of Russian usual lexemes is also possible. All this testifies to the significant word-formation and cognitive potential of the modern Russian language.
