Abstract

This paper is devoted to investigate the effect of hyperbolic thermal condition on the bending response of simply-supported shear-deformable multilayered composite plates resting on elastic foundations using a new hyperbolic model. Through this model, the shear stresses are devolved to zero at the top and bottom surfaces of the plate. The governing equations are based on the present hyperbolic model and include the plate–foundation interaction and thermal effect. The effects of temperature concentration, foundation parameters, transverse shear deformation, aspect ratio, side-to-thickness ratio on deflections and stresses are investigated. Some validation examples are presented to show the accracy of the present model comparing with the corresponding models in the literature.
