Abstract
In this paper, we describe a numerical approach for solving the problem of H-plane waveguide junctions containing lossy ferrite posts of arbitrary shape. This approach is based upon the use of triangular finite elements and employs a local type of radiation-boundary condition on the waveguide ports to truncate the original domain, which is infinite, into a finite and manageable size region.
