Abstract

The magnetization structure of multilayered magnetic films which are the stacking of magnetic layers at intervals of nonmagnetic layers, is analyzed by calculating the magnetostatic energy. The antiparallel magnetization configuration of the magnetic layer reduces magnetostatic energies. However, the irregular structure, such as an insertion of a pair of parallel magnetization arrangement which often appears experimentally, does not always increase a magnetostatic energy very much, compared to the antiparallel regular structure. The experimental magnetization structure of multilayered film can be understood by the magnetostatic energy.
