Abstract
본 연구에서는 안개발생시 가변형 속도제한표지의 크기와 휘도에 따른 판독거리의 변화에 관한 현장실험을 실시하여 결과를 제시하였다. 이를 위하여 안개상황 모의 환경을 구축하였고, 속도제한표지의 밝기와 크기를 변동하면서 피실험자 실험을 수행하여 시정거리에 따른 판독 거리를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 주어진 휘도에서 시정거리별 판독거리는 표지의 크기에 따라 증가하지만, 완벽한 선형적인 관계는 나타나지 않았다. 그리고 짙은 안개 상황일수록 크기가 큰 가변형 속도제한표지가 효과적인 것으로 파악되었다. 그리고 가변형 속도제한표지의 운영 휘도를 증가할수록 판독거리가 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다.
