Abstract

The Lagrange multiplier method was proposed by Joseph Louis Lagrange in 1736. The Lagrange multiplier method is a method used to deal with nonlinear programming problems where the objective function has equality and inequality constraints. Many optimization problems cannot be solved due to constraints that limit the objective function. The Lagrange multiplier method can transform a constrained optimization problem into a seamless optimization problem. Thus the optimization problem can be resolved.
