Abstract

The analysis of the empirical compaction equations has been carried, the advantages, disadvantages and limitations that restricts the scope of their application by modeling individual stages of the process and selected groups of materials are shown. It has been established that the pressing equation of the ISI is the only dependence successfully used for small sized materials of the mining and metallurgical complex, the necessity of its improvement is substantiated. The requirements for compaction equations have been formulated. Two compaction equations have been developed, the combined use of which will make it possible to predict the relationship between pressure and densification degree of compact during briquetting in the technological range of pressures, as well as provide an opportunity to identify compression stages and study the factors affecting the process. The equations can be used to optimize the technological modes of briquetting materials of the MMC and increase the reliability of determining the energy-power characteristics of the pressing process.
