Abstract

Interpolation algorithms as applied to observed and synthetic (obtained by solving the forward problem) magnetic, gravity and electric fields are considered. Discrepancy between the reference field and field obtained by interpolation decimated source reference field is analysed. Estimate of applicability conclusions on basis of 1D data interpolation analysis for the same interpolation algorithms in case of 2D data is given. The growth of discrepancy between the reference field and interpolated field depending on the reduction of interpolation step (exceeding the number of points in interpolated field over the number in the source field) is demonstrated also. A software realizing the interpolation algorithms, the evaluation discrepancy between the reference field and interpolated field and compute the statistical characteristics reflecting discrepancy between fields is created. Observed and synthetic field example data, the results of data processing, including the statistical characteristics are given. Research results are prome to apply geophysical data interolation procedures more reasonably.
