Abstract

An analysis of the internal layout of high-pressure drum boilers shows that the pattern with single-stage evaporation is the most expedient. At equivalent continuous bleeding this design ensures minimum consumption of alkaline-phosphate mixture introduced for conditioning the boiler water and minimum salt content.
