Abstract

Intermittent or periodic signals of mobile devices cause interference at audible frequency to the sound system. In this regard, it is recently issued that the intermittently transmissions of long term evolution (LTE) mobile phones cause the interference noises on sound systems, similar to that of global system for mobile communication (GSM) mobile phones. For retaining the immunity from noises, international regulations suggests a 1kHz amplitude modulation (AM) 80% and GSM modulation signal as reference signals for immunity test of sound and television broadcast receiver. In this paper, the effects of interference noise of LTE is compared with that of AM and GSM, and the LTE noise is evaluated as the reference signal for international immunity test of sound systems.
