Abstract

The analysis of input design for parameter estimation of the linear, dynamic Single Input Single Output (SISO) second order systems is the focus of this paper. The open loop system identification method is considered for analysis different signals in this work. The Numerical algorithm for Subspace State Space System Identification (N4SID) algorithm is used for open loop system identification. In this work, five input signals are considered for system identification. The Amplitude Pseudo Random Binary Sequence (APRBS) and Multisine signals are given better results over step, Pseudo Random Binary Sequence (PRBS) and Swept sine input signals. The efficiency of input signals is shown using three second order systems using model performance metrics. The simulation of experiment design is executed by using MATLAB.
