Abstract

Spoke type PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) is a motor that used non-rare earth which has low flux density. It has flux concentrated structure of permanent magnets arrangement to improve power density. Also, torque of Spoke type PMSM composed of magnetic torque by permanent magnets and reluctant torque by difference between d and q axes. This paper analyzed inductances of d and q axes which impact on reluctant torque by phase and size of applied current on Spoke type PMSM. Also, it suggested driving range of spoke type PMSM based on the above result.
