Abstract

This paper develops a model for stream flow recession curves. Data from three Australian rivers are used to illustrate how the effects of seasonality and storm input can be catered for by a relatively simple estimation procedure. It is suggested that a master recession curve does not give an adequate description of recession flows for a river.
