Abstract
A Static load model is a correlation between measured voltage at a bus, active and reactive energy dissipated by the load connected at an instant. Load model structure plays a vital role in the effect of appropriate contingencies, and this can alter the ranked lists used by the system. Newton-Raphson (N-R) power flow method used for examining multiple load models on the transmission system. HPFC is a lately introduced member of flexible AC transmission system (FACTS). This paper presents a comparison of HPFC using static load modelling on the transmission system. Load flow is brought out on each decided policy for the base case-load and pre-contingency conditions. The formulation of a query is set to be illconditioned if estimated values are very susceptible to minute changes in input conditions. Contingency screening for static load model has experimented on the IEEE 14-bus system using MATLAB.
