Abstract
The regular shape Hexagonal Waveguide (HWG) is investigated in this paper using conformal mapping technique. The regular shape HWG is transformed into the unit circle using the conformal mapping technique. The wave equation is also transformed into the conformal domain to get the approximate eigenfunction and Eigenvalue. The internal field patterns for the dominant TE mode are shown using the conformal mapping technique. It is found that our theoretical results are in excellent agreement with the cosmetically availabel 3D EM simulator (HFSS).
