Abstract

This paper describes a novel method for the analysis of multi-layer frequency selective surfaces, consisting of one or more screens perforated periodically with stepped apertures with an arbitrary cross-section. These structures are particularly interesting for applications in large reflector antennas for radio-astronomy. The analysis method is based on the application of the Boundary Integral-Resonant Mode Expansion method, combined with the Integral Equation technique. Two examples are presented to validate the proposed method.
