Abstract
With the increasing of the power from KW to MW for wind turbines, effective cooling measures are introduced for keeping the system operating within the allowable temperature. Taking a 1mw wind turbine as an example, this paper introduces the structural features and the ventilation way of it, the CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) software is adopted to analyze the fluid field and the temperature field of the generator. Aiming at the coupled problem of temperature field and ventilation system fluid field of generator, the three dimensional finite element models of ventilation system fluid field and rotor pole temperature field of a 1MW wind turbine are presented according to the hydrodynamics and heat transfer theory. By using the finite element method, the fluid field of the generator ventilation system is calculated. Using the wind speed, material properties, the size and distribution of origin of heart, the distribution of the fluid field and the temperature field can be got through the soft. Some data like ventilation coefficient need not be calculated and the way improves the accuracy of the results.
