Abstract

The paper presents the results of assessments of filtration and capacitive properties of the compacted reservoir rocks of Moscovian stage (West-Shebelynska area) from the depth interval between 4929 and 5380 m. Reservoir quality index, free fluid index and flow zone indicator are calculated using the results of petrophysical studies of absolute permeability, open porosity, and irreducible water saturation. Rock intervals with better reservoir properties are determined by RQI and FFI. Furthermore, the correlation between measured permeability and simulated by free fluid index is established during the research. The latter correlation is stated to be the most suitable for petrophysical prediction of absolute permeability in uncored intervals and for nuclear magnetic resonance interpretation.
