Abstract

Tuberculosis has become in West Nusa Tenggara for decades, especially in the West Lombok Regency. Various factors influence the success of tuberculosis treatment. Objective: The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between gender, age, duration of treatment and the number of comorbid conditions with therapeutic success. Cross sectional study was used with descriptive analysis. Data were collected retrospectively from the medical records of tuberculosis patients. Results: This study revealed that age (p=0.000; p< 0.05), length of treatment (p=0.000; p<0.05) and the number of chronic comorbidities suffered by the patient (p=0.000; p<0.05) owned a significant relationship with treatment outcomes. Meanwhile, gender (p=0.060; p> 0.05), did not possess a significant relationship with treatment outcomes. Conclusion: Age, duration of treatment and the number of comorbidities affect the treatment of tuberculosis.
