Abstract

Nowadays rapid urbanization in the world dictates to find new comprehensive ways to urban development. Sustainability become a ―buzzword‖ within the urban planners and architectures around the world. But whether these new trends are in presence in Kazakhstan. Capital city of Astana is one of the most needed city in Kazakhstan in terms of sustainable development and environmental development. Recreational zones in this context proved by scientists to be one of few instruments in dealing with air pollution. In this article authors intended to analyze standards and building codes of the recreational zones of the city of Astana.
