Abstract

Investigations were performed for the configuration: dielectric object-grounded spherical electrode. An axissymetrical system was considered and electric field distribution along the axis of this system was found, in particular at the electrode surface. A model of the electrostatic field in the system under investigation was proposed in order to determine the field intensity. Analysis of this model together with calculation of electric field for given dielectric surface and space charge distribution and for a parametrically variable geometry of the system is the objective of the paper.
