Abstract
This paper presents methods for the transient and steady-state analysis of electric circuits containing nonlinear resistances. It is shown how the “reversion method” for the solution of nonlinear differential equations may be applied to determine the transient response of circuits containing nonlinear resistors. A method for the determination of the steady-stage response of such circuits is also described. For purposes of illustration, the methods proposed are applied to the analysis of a circuit containing a linear inductor in series with a nonlinear resistor.
