Abstract

1. When account is taken of the savings to the consumer, the production of LPG in the central gas fractionating unit of a petrochemical combine is more efficient. 2. Of the schemes that have been examined for central gas fractionation units Nos. 1 and 2, the more effective is that of No. 2. 3. When it is considered that in the future all gas fractionation units will be built with flow plans to provide maximum LPG recovery coefficients and the production of individual hydrocarbons conforming to Grade A of the MRTU-67 specification, questions of where to locate gas fractionation units must be resolved on the basis of the costs involved in transporting the LPG to the consumer and the savings to be achieved by the use of these materials in the chemical and petrochemical industry.
