Abstract

The development of power line communication systems require detailed knowledge of the channel properties, such as transfer functions, interference scenario and channel capacity in order to choose suitable transmission methods. such a device turns out to be helpful for comparison of performance of different communication systems. In this paper, an attempt is made to study the analysis of two different parameters such as Line length and load impedance on the performance of Low voltage (LV) power line communication (plc) network. The power line network adopted here is simulated using a MATLAB Tool, from the frequency response of the transfer function (ratio of the received and transmitted signal), it is seen that, position of notches and peaks in the magnitude and phase response are affected in terms of attenuations and distortions by the network parameters. The analysis presented here is helpful in the design of BPLC systems for a better data transfer and system performance.
