Abstract
With the increasing impact of the opening of high-speed railway on the inner city, many indicators within the city have changed significantly, which plays an important role in the impact of the city's economy. Therefore, this paper explores how the high-speed railway network affects intra-city economic development based on the changes in three indicators of city size, per capita disposable income of residents and the structure of the three industries, as reflected by the population flow in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei city cluster. It is found that the opening of high-speed railway has led to a "siphon phenomenon" in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, which has both advantages and disadvantages for the development of large cities and small and medium-sized cities; it has a positive effect on the increase of disposable income of the residents; and it also has a positive effect on the development of tertiary industry.
