Abstract

This paper aims to identify the critical design parameters that affect the peak transmissibility ratio of seating suspension system and study the design parameter sensitivity. The design parameter sensitivity analysis can be applied for seat cushion design. The analytical model of the double diamond scissor-like isolator structure has been developed and validated by the MSC ADAMS simulation model. The driver's head accelerations are simulated on the different ISO road classes and compared with the peak transmissibility ratio to evaluate the vibration isolation performance. The effects of structural parameters in the proposed system have also been studied through the validated analytical model to find out how to adjust the parameters to provide better vibration isolation performance.
