Abstract

A Current Conveyor (CC) is a minimum three-terminal device that can perform many useful Analog signal processing functions. It has two input terminals and can have up-to n-output terminals. The current conveyors work at low voltages and use up less power. The current conveyor can be considered as a fundamental design building block like an operational amplifier. The current conveyors are usually made up of current mirrors (CM) and voltage followers (VF). In this work different generations of current conveyors such as CCI, CCII and CCIII and for each generation there exist positive and negative circuit which are all analysed and simulated in Cadence Virtuoso using 180nm technology. The analysis has been performed in terms of node voltages and currents at input and output terminals by applying sinusoidal signal to the input terminals. The circuits designed in this work provides high bandwidth, with less power consumption and uses low voltage for its operation. Applications of Current Conveyors such as Oscillators, Voltage Amplifier, Voltage differentiator and Voltage Integrator has been designed and implemented and the results are verified.
