Abstract

Influence of energetic electrons on the light emission from detached recombining plasmas has been investigated by using Collisional-Radiative model, where the rate coefficients were modified by taking electron beam components as the energetic electrons into account. Line emission intensities are changed, strongly depending on the electron beam energy, because the population density distribution is determined by not only recombination processes but also electron impact excitation processes due to the electron beam component such as reexcitation, excitation from meta-stable states and excitation from the ground state. The influence of energetic electrons on the inverse ELMs was also discussed. Furthermore, it is found that bulk electron temperature evaluated with the method of Boltzmann plot tends to decrease dramatically with an increase in the electron beam density.
