Abstract

Acoustic Black Hole (ABH) is a newly developed passive control method. It commonly uses the gradual change of the vertical thickness of the structure to control the propagation and aggregation of bending waves, which has excellent performance in structural vibration suppression and other aspects. Carbon fiber is the most famous composite material, the structure of low density, high strength and stiffness. The dynamic characteristics of carbon fiber sheet with ABH structure were analyzed by finite element method, and the vibration suppression performance was further verified by experiments. The results show that in the frequency range of 180~3000 Hz, the vibration level of the CFRP-ABH structure is reduced by 6~20 dB compared with the uniform thickness plate, showing excellent broadband vibration reduction performance.
