Abstract
A method is proposed to analyze arbitrary coupled Nonuniform Transmission Lines (NTLs). First, the modal decomposition approach is used to decouple the sets of differential equations. Then, the modal lines are subdivided to several homogeneous nonuniform sections. The variations of the nonuniform sections are considered exponential or linear. The ABCD parameters of modal lines and finally the S parameters of the whole coupled NTL are obtained. The accuracy of the method is studied using a comprehensive example.
