Abstract
The article updates the need to update the scientific and methodological provision of the professional training of specialists in information, library and archives in accordance with the changes brought about by the introduction of a new list of industries and specialties, which will be trained by specialists in Ukraine. Three components in the structure of the specialty “Information, Library and Archival business” are identified in order to determine the essence of professional activity, namely: information business, library business, archival business. The analysis of the content of the three-component structure of the specialty is carried out. The necessity of updating the scientific and methodological support of each component of the content of the specialty “Information, Library and Archival business ” for the training of future specialists is proved.
