Abstract

The constructional errors of spatial prestress steel structures can greatly impact the structural stability and safety. Though structural health monitoring techniques are well developed, the data analysis integrated with the structural performance evaluation require a lot of efforts. The project conducts sensitivity study on constructional errors including deviations of joints, prestress loss of prestressed cables, and deformation of struts. The research data are carefully extracted from a high-fidelity laser measurement point-cloud model of a typical spatial prestressed steel structure. Data lightweight process is conducted to the point-cloud model where key nodes are automatically marked and stored according to the design BIM model. Constructional errors are efficiently characterized and compared with the design model through adapted pattern recognition algorithm. The statistical analysis is conducted to the constructional errors where the statistical models are obtained for future reliability study.
