Abstract

Objective To provide new reference for improveing Medical Licensing Examination step examinations empirical research of Physician through analyzing the test results of clinical operation skills. Methods The data related to the clinical fundamental skills test of Step 1 Medical Licensing Examination empirical research of Physician from 2015 to 2017 were collected and analyzed and the situation of clinical operation skills test in 2016 was emphatically analyzed. Results The mastery levels of each test module in 2015, 2016 and 2017 were as follows: 77.6% in medical history taking test module, 75.5% in physical examination test module, and 82.5% in clinical operation skills test module in 2015; 73.5% in medical history taking test module, 73.0% in physical examination test module, and 82.4% in clinical operation skills test module in 2016; 79.3% in medical history taking test module, 76.4% in physical examination test module, and 85.1% in clinical operation skills test module in 2017. The mastery level of clinical operation skills was the highest among all test modules in the same year. Generally speaking, the mastery level of each test item in clinical operation skills test in 2016 was relatively high and all above 75.0%. Conclusions The applicants had generally good mastery of clinical operation skills test. The clinical fundamental skills test played an important role in improving clinical practice training of students in medical schools.
