Abstract

Objective To analysis the clinical curative effects of cervical cerclage in patients with cervical incompetency. Methods From May 2008 to May 2011, 50 patients with cervical incompetency who accepted cervical cerclage were included in the study, and divided into preventative cervical cerclage group(n=35) and emergency cervical cerclage group(n=15) according to operating time. Informed consent was obtained from all participates. Results There had significant differences in extension of pregnancy period and pregnancy outcomes between two groups(P 0.05). Conclusions Preventative cervical cerclage is an effective treatment for cervical incompetence. Key words: cervical cerclage; cervical incompetency; pregnancy
