Abstract

Weapons used for training within a system have to meet special requirements concerning the simulation of a shot. All preparatory actions for firing the shot have to be the same as for a real combat weapon: attaching the magazine, arming the weapon, reloading, entering the settings of the sight, and delivering the shot by pressing the detent. Soldiers firing with the virtual projectiles have to identify their shots not only by visual or acoustic ways, but by sensing the operation of the training weapon, as well. The analysis of the combat weapons parameters has indicated the most important of them for the process of simulated shooting: the mass of gun, the force of gun recoil, the jump of barrel at shooting, the scatter of projectiles fired with the barrel, the accuracy, the mechanical durability and rate of fire.
