Abstract

Anemia during pregnancy is a common condition that can cause serious consequences for the mother and fetus, including premature delivery and low birth weight. Nursing plays a crucial role not only in the clinical management of anemia, but also in its prevention through education and continuous monitoring. Nurses educate pregnant women about the importance of proper nutrition, adherence to iron and folic acid supplementation, and early identification of symptoms of anemia. Educational and community programs have been shown to improve knowledge and adherence to nutritional recommendations, thereby reducing the incidence of anemia. Technological interventions, such as the use of SMS reminders and m-Health support, have also been shown to be effective. It is essential that nurses continue to develop and participate in these strategies to improve maternal and perinatal health by identifying and managing risk factors and ensuring consistent and personalized follow-up.
