Abstract

The results of model experiments on the qualitative and quantitative determination of HNO3 in aqueous solutions by secondary-ion mass spectrometry are presented. Characteristic lines were selected in the mass spectra of the analyzed samples, by the intensity of which the concentration of HNO3 in solutions can be determined, even in the presence of other ionic components. The potential of this instrumental method for determining the composition of the samples of atmospheric aerosols and condensed atmospheric moisture is discussed.
