Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of the special rectification activity by analyzing and comparing the prophylactic application of antibacterials in classⅠ(clean)wounds during the perioperative period in Shengjing Hospital before and after the special rectification activity. Methods:Cases with classⅠ wounds were chosen as the subjects of the study. There were 533 cases in the non-intervention group(from Oct.2011 to Nov.2011)and 504 cases in the intervention group(from Oct.2012 to Nov.2012)chosen respectively before and after the special rectification activity.Such indicators as the percentage of prophylactic application of drugs, the duration of medication on the average, the rationality of medication time, types of antibacterials and the percentage of drug combination were used to evaluate the rationality in the application of prophylactic drugs. Results:The percentage of the application of prophylactic drugs for the non-intervention group was 62.29%,while the percentage of the intervention group decreased to 25.40%(P0.01).The duration of medication for the non-intervention group was(2.03±0.96)days per case, while that for the intervention group decreased to(1.68±1.57)days(P0.01).The rationality of medication time before and after surgery for the intervention group all significantly improved, when they were compared with those of the non-intervention group(P0.01,P0.05).Conclusion:After the special rectification activity, the rationality in the application of prophylactic antibacterials in classⅠ wounds during the perioperative period was improved, indicating that the special rectification activity was effective.
