Abstract
The aim of the author through this document is to present a comprehensive analysis of the anti suicide law in India, its validity and also its desirability in the present day scenario. The paper looks into Section 309 of the Indian Penal Code,1860 , its validity by analyzing the march of law. The paper also looks into the desirability of an anti suicide law in India by looking into the judicial opinion so far.
