Abstract
Five microcomputer statistical programs, SPSS/PC, SYSTAT, Number Cruncher Statistical System, Walonick STATPAC and Statpal are compared using an unbalanced two-way analysis of variance as an example. Using a data set from Kutner (1972), each program is compared concerning sums of squares calculated and hypotheses tested under various program options.
