Abstract

A receiving array has been developed and investigated which consists of an ultrasonic scanner with composite strip-type piezoceramic elements, which serve simultaneously both as electroacoustic transducers and also as delay lines in a system for processing received signals operating in the megacycle frequency range. The frequency and pulse responses are considered. Properties of the directional pulse patterns are examined in the case of additive and multiplicative processing of the signals. This receiving array may be used for ultrasonic medical diagnostic devices and for non-destructive testing.
