Abstract

Bellows type DMFC was previously proposed as a structure of a new fuel cell to be able to expect high efficiency and a high output. Bellows type DMFC attempts increasing in the amount of fuel supply and making of the density uniform by soaking the cell material directly in the fuel container filled with the methanol-water solution. In the previous report, the airflow path in the cathode for a single cell was examined by using three dimensional simulations. As a result, it was shown that the air diffusion material to diffuse air uniformly was very effective. Moreover, one particular solution was shown as the best shape of the air diffusion material. In this paper, the dependence of the air supply speed, the cell output power when two or more cells were connected has been examined by the simulation. In addition, the airflow path has been analyzed.
