Abstract

Abstract In this study, a new hyperbolic tangent model has been proposed for analyzing adsorption kinetic at the solid-solution interface. The most important advantage of the proposed model is its ability to predicate the equilibrium time of adsorption, which is very vital to optimize the cost of the adsorption system design. The ability of the new model for modeling of adsorption kinetic and predication of the equilibrium time was tested by using of the generated data points based on the mixed 1,2-order equation (MOE). The new model was applied for fitting of the reported experimental data. The obtained results show that the new model can analyze the experimental data very well.
