Abstract

ISDN (integrated service digital network) where different types of traffic use the same transmission medium, imposes the problem of control of the access node connected to the shared bandwidth. Access control strategies are presented on the general model of a multiserver queuing system where the customers demand service from a random number of servers. System performance is analyzed under particular circumstances. Control policies are presented. >
