Abstract
A disease transmission model of SIS type with stage structure and a delay corresponding to the infectious period is formulated. By constructing the difference operator and using global convergence theorem, we show that the disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable. The stability of an endemic equilibrium are investigated for the differential difference equations.
