Abstract

In view of unclear understanding of the resonance characteristics of a magnetic resonant coupling based wireless power transmission system, the definition of resonance frequency, resonance parameter characteristics, and shape of power-frequency response curve are discussed in this paper based on a mutual inductance coupling circuit model. The main conclusions drawn in this paper are as follows: relative to the frequency corresponding to system transmission efficiency peak point, defining the operating frequency under the peak power transmission condition as the resonance frequency is more reasonable; under resonance conditions, the system equivalent reactance is zero; in the overcoupling zone, when the sum of the operating frequency values corresponding to two peak powers is greater than twice as much as the loosely coupled resonance frequency, the main resonance frequency is the frequency corresponding to the first peak power; otherwise, the second. Simulation analysis and experimental results verify the conclusions in this paper.
