Analysis, classification and quality estimation of hard to recover oils: modern state of the issue

Abstract

The paper provides the outlook of the classification methods for the fields with hard to recover reserves. The methods for solving the problems associated with hard to recover high viscous and heavy oils as well are reviewed. It is shown that one of the major factors for providing high efficiency technologies applied in oil-gas producing fields of Azerbaijan and the capital investment in their development as well is the classification of hard to recover hydrocarbon reserves and the evaluation of complication degree of their production.
