Abstract

This paper focuses on the Altmetrics indicators of domestic scholars in the international field of library and information science, studies the relationship and influencing factors between Altmetrics indicators and citation indexes, to enhance the international impact of domestic scholars. The analysis aims to domestic scholars who have published papers in 88 international library and information science journals collected by JCR. By combining traditional citation indexes and Altmetrics indicators, the research topics of high-impact scholars are analyzed detailly. Using Twitter mentions, Blog mentions and Facebook mentions to disseminate academic achievements is the main way for domestic scholars to promote social impact. The positive and strong correlation between the social impact index and the academic impact index shows that the appropriate Altmetrics indicators can characterize the social impact of scholars. If the research topics of domestic scholars are consistent with the hotspots of the international community, it will actively promote the scholar's international social impact. The research topics of high social impact that domestic scholars rarely involve are mainly distributed in public health and medical health
