Abstract

The power quality and power control capability of wind farms have an important impact on the safety and economy of power system, which affects the performance of wind farms participating in power system frequency modulation, peak shaving, reactive power regulation and voltage control. According to the requirements of power quality and power control of wind farms, this paper analyses the power quality characteristics and power control capability of a typical wind farm connected to Inner Mongolia grid, and puts forward measures to promote power quality level and power control capability, improve the quality of the power delivered to grid, and ensure that the performance of wind farms meets the requirements of power system regulation, and increase the consumption capacity of wind power and the safety and stabilization of grid.
